Duncan's big day!

Poor little Duncan had a big day at the vet's today.  He had his ear flushed -- that pesky ear infection just won't go away! -- got a long-lasting antibiotic injection, some medicine in his ear, his butt expressed, his teeth cleaned and his nails clipped!  When they brought him out to me he was in a right state -- growling and hissing like he was ready to kill anyone who came near him and that seemed to include me!  I told the girls that he really is a sweetheart -- at HOME!  Not really sure they believed me, tho!  But once we got home, he settled right in and chowed down.  The vet thought he might not want any crunchies or treats for a few days because of the teeth cleaning but my little guy wanted it ALL even tho he had to all but lie down to eat!  He was having trouble keeping the crunchies and treats in his mouth -- he'd bite into them and they'd fall out!  Poor little boy was SO confused by that!  But he wobbled around mewing like a poor little kitty until he got everything he wanted.  Then he kept trying to leap up onto countertops and tables and the bathroom sink but his back legs didn't seem to want to cooperate and he seemed SO frustrated!  But now his tummy is full and he's passed out cold on the couch next to me so life is back to normal, at least for the time being!

Guess I won't be crocheting tonight!

With winter making a big time comeback, I figured I'd catch up on some of my crochet projects and finish a few blankets I started.  I had run out of yarn to finish them so yesterday I hit Michael's and got what I needed so after getting some housework done today and "visiting" with friends and family on Facebook, I turned to my yarn basket to get busy.  Well, guess who beat me there!  Oh well!  At least it pushed me to get busy here and get caught up on what Duncan's been up to lately!  Notice that, even though he's decided to curl up on my current project, he still has his paw on his favorite pillow!  That thing is so old and so beat up but he absolutely loves it!

Just some more pix.

As I said, just playing catch-up again so here's a few shots of my little boy being adorable!  In the first one, he pulled one of my scarves off the chair so he could "cuddle" with it.  The next few are just him in his favorite spots -- on his pillow, in my yarn basket and surveying the living room from the top of the bookshelf!

The Birds!

Playing catch-up again!  This was a few weeks ago -- Duncan was in his cat tree watching the world go by when the birds decided to tease him!  I saw a couple birds swoop by the window as if trying to get his attention -- it worked!  Mean old birdies!

Duncan's handiwork!

Every so often Duncan decides its time to "clear out" the plastic grocery bags I use for recycling and the little trash baskets around the house!  This time I decided to capture his handiwork for posterity!  Such a busy little boy!
