Duncan's big day!

Poor little Duncan had a big day at the vet's today.  He had his ear flushed -- that pesky ear infection just won't go away! -- got a long-lasting antibiotic injection, some medicine in his ear, his butt expressed, his teeth cleaned and his nails clipped!  When they brought him out to me he was in a right state -- growling and hissing like he was ready to kill anyone who came near him and that seemed to include me!  I told the girls that he really is a sweetheart -- at HOME!  Not really sure they believed me, tho!  But once we got home, he settled right in and chowed down.  The vet thought he might not want any crunchies or treats for a few days because of the teeth cleaning but my little guy wanted it ALL even tho he had to all but lie down to eat!  He was having trouble keeping the crunchies and treats in his mouth -- he'd bite into them and they'd fall out!  Poor little boy was SO confused by that!  But he wobbled around mewing like a poor little kitty until he got everything he wanted.  Then he kept trying to leap up onto countertops and tables and the bathroom sink but his back legs didn't seem to want to cooperate and he seemed SO frustrated!  But now his tummy is full and he's passed out cold on the couch next to me so life is back to normal, at least for the time being!
